Matthew Stephen Meyer is an American politician and attorney serving as the 76th governor of Delaware since 2025. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served as the New Castle County executive from 2017 to 2025. Prior to tenure as county executive, Meyer worked as an attorney in private practice, and was an economic advisor to former Democratic governor Jack Markell and an advisor within the U.S. State Department.

Bethany A. Hall-Long is an American politician who served as the 75th governor of Delaware for two weeks in January 2025, after having served as the 26th lieutenant governor of Delaware from 2017 to 2025. A member of the Democratic Party, she previously served in the Delaware Senate from 2008 to 2016 and the Delaware House of Representatives from 2002 to 2008. During her time in Delaware's General Assembly, Hall-Long sponsored more than 1,000 bills, 60% of which were health care related.

John Charles Carney Jr. is an American politician serving as the 58th mayor of Wilmington, Delaware, since 2025. A member of the Democratic Party, Carney previously served as the 74th governor of Delaware from 2017 to 2025, the U.S. representative for Delaware's at-large congressional district from 2011 to 2017, the 24th lieutenant governor of Delaware from 2001 to 2009, and Delaware's secretary of finance from 1996 to 2000.

Jack Alan Markell is an American politician and diplomat. He had served the United States ambassador both to Italy and to San Marino. He had served as the United States ambassador to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. As a member of the Democratic Party, He previously served as the 73rd governor of Delaware from 2009 to 2017.

Ruth Ann Minner was an American politician and businesswoman who served as the 72nd governor of Delaware from 2001 to 2009. She previously served in the Delaware General Assembly from 1975 to 1993, and as the 23rd lieutenant governor of Delaware from 1993 to 2001. A member of the Democratic Party, she was the first female governor of Delaware. She was originally from Milford, in Kent County, Delaware.

Thomas Richard Carper is an American politician and former military officer who served from 2001 to 2025 as a United States senator from Delaware. A member of the Democratic Party, Carper served from 1983 to 1993 in the United States House of Representatives and from 1993 to 2001 as the 71st governor of Delaware.

Dale Edward Wolf was an American businessman and politician from Wilmington, in New Castle County, Delaware. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Republican Party, who served for three weeks as the 70th governor of Delaware. As of 2025, he remains the most recent Republican governor of Delaware, and the most recent Republican lieutenant governor of the state.

Michael Newbold Castle was an American politician and lawyer who served as the U.S. representative for Delaware's at-large congressional district from 1993 to 2011. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served as the 69th governor of Delaware from 1985 to 1992, lieutenant governor from 1981 to 1985, and as a member of the Delaware General Assembly from 1967 to 1977. As of 2025, Castle is the most recent Republican to represent Delaware in the U.S. Congress and to have been elected governor of the state.

Pierre Samuel "Pete" du Pont IV was an American attorney, businessman, and politician who served as the 68th governor of Delaware from 1977 to 1985. A member of the Republican Party, he was the United States representative for Delaware's at-large congressional district from 1971 to 1977.

Sherman Willard Tribbitt was an American merchant and politician from Odessa in New Castle County, Delaware. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Democratic Party who served in the Delaware General Assembly, as the 17th lieutenant governor of Delaware, and as the 67th governor of Delaware.
