Biography

Kristi Noem was elected Governor of South Dakota in 2018 and re-elected in 2022. A farmer and rancher, she previously served four terms in the U.S. House. She gained national attention for keeping South Dakota largely open during the COVID-19 pandemic and briefly served as Secretary of Homeland Security in 2025.
