Biography
Mikie Sherrill became Governor of New Jersey in January 2026 after winning the 2025 election, succeeding term-limited Phil Murphy. A former U.S. Navy helicopter pilot and federal prosecutor, she represented New Jersey's 11th congressional district in the U.S. House from 2019 to 2026. She is the state's first female Democratic governor.
